Ogeechee Steel and Gilbane Building Company have recently completed the construction of the University of South Carolina Thomas Cooper Library Special Collections Addition together. We feel that Ogeechee Steel was a large part of our projects success. Not only was the quality of craftsmanship fantastic, but the entire organization was a pleasure to work with. The constant flow of communication between both the field staff and management contributed greatly to the overall success of the project. South Carolina adopted the IBC in 2003. I worked on the College of Charleston basketball arena with Ogeechee steel in 2008. Because of the effort put forth by their professional staff, Ogeechee steel is the most knowledgeable fabricator/erector of the new AISC Seismic Provisions and the IBC Special Inspection requirements that I have worked with. They truly understand the importance of doing the job right and I look forward to working with them again in the future.

Thompson Turner Construction had a great experience working with Ogeechee Steel on the new College of Charleston Carolina First Arena project. The logistics of building a new basketball arena in downtown historic Charleston, SC was nearly impossible. Ogeechee made our job as the general contractor very easy with good scheduling, material delivery management, and problem solving.

I could safely say that in my nearly 30 years of practice, Ogeechee Steel is the most efficient, professionally run steel fabricator/erector that I have had the pleasure of working with. Our police station project was a somewhat complicated project structurally, but Ogeechee handled it with ease. Every step of the way, from shop drawings to erection was nearly seamless and it would make my job so much easier if all of our projects ran this smoothly. Thanks for all your efforts!

Ogeechee Steel’s fab and erect capabilities allowed us to get 6 weeks ahead of schedule. They spent valuable time up front evaluating the constructability of the design. When it came time to mobilize, all the questions had been asked and answered allowing us to hit the ground running. Ogeechee Steel was an extension of our team and helped to push the schedule.

Now that steel erection has wrapped up here at Francis Marion University, I would like to thank you for all of your help through this project, from fabrication through the final steel inspections. Your onsite team was one of the most professional I have worked alongside in my career of 38 years.
